The apartment forms part of an elegant villa with an Italian style garden and used to be the residence of Tuscan nobility. The spacious apartment is on the first floor and has been tastefully furnished in typical Tuscan style. It is in the village of Montelupo Fiorentino which is well known for its ceramics. There is a large swimming pool which is shared with the other apartments in the villa. There are parasols and sun loungers. The villa is on the historic road that leads to beautiful Florence so you have easy access to the city as it is only 30 km away. There you can enjoy the Uffizi Museum, the Ponte Vecchio Bridge, the Boboli Gardens and many works of Michelangelo. You can also explore other parts of beautiful Tuscany, such as Montecatini Terme, famous for its thermal springs (approx. 45 min by car) and San Gimignano with its many towers (approx. 1 hour drive). Or you can just sit back and enjoy the Tuscan landscape and the sun.

The village is in the province of Lucca in the Garfagnana area and is at an altitude of 650 metres. This period building has been completely renovated. The local style has been preserved and seven attractive apartments created. The apartments all have a delightful atmosphere. The friendly owners will help you arrange dinners and wine tastings in the wine cellar and other rooms in the complex. The village has a small museum and an interesting history which the owners will be pleased to tell you about. There is a traditional restaurant within easy walking distance. The local dishes are excellent there and you can enjoy splendid views of the surrounding hills. The house is ideal for a relaxing holiday. It is also perfect for discovering this interesting area. You can visit Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, Barga, Lucca, Camaiore, Marina di Pietrasanta and more. The sea is around an hour away by car. Sleeping up to 4 people Rating: 3 Star Le Fontanacce is a typical Tuscan farmhouse which offers the La Palma, Il Corbezzolo and 'Mimosa' apartments (IT-51017-07, IT-51017-08 en IT-51017-10). It lies at the entrance of the Apennines in one of the most beautiful areas of the Valdinievole, in the province of Pistoia. Both apartments have been completely restored. They radiate a rustic feel and are equipped with every modern convenience. There is an attractive salt water swimming pool (without chlorine) and a bath with hydro massage which requires payment. Breakfast and dinner are available on request. This offers a taste of local Tuscan dishes and delicacies.
There is a breathtaking view of the valley with its hills and forests from the farmhouse terrace. There are ten surviving medieval villages with castles in the nearby hills. These are well worth a visit and have not yet been discovered by mass tourism.

The complex consists of 12 apartments. There is a shared swimming pool in the courtyard. You could almost jump into the swimming pool from the bedroom. The owner converted his great-grandfathers old house into an elegant apartment complex. The interior is very well kept and functional. It is an ideal place for visiting historic cities such as Vinci, Florence, Pisa, Pistoia and Empoli. Each apartment has its own small terrace with garden furniture. The complex is in a residential area. You can be in the heart of the village within minutes enjoying a cappuccino in a local bar. The owner is happy to give you advice about enjoyable excursions and the many local restaurants.

The home has been restored with great care and authentic features have been kept intact. These include thick stone walls and an original wooden beamed ceiling. The home is full of atmosphere and very comfortably furnished.
Small rivers run through the attractive hilly landscape which is ideal for nature lovers and walkers. You can enjoy delightful views of the nearby valley from the home. There are a number of small, historic villages in the area called 'castellas'. These include Pietrabuona, Medicina, Fibbialla, Aramo, Sorana, San Quirico, Castelvecchio, Stiappa and Vellano. The lively city of Montecatini Terme is 13 kilometres away and is famous for its spring water. The Firenze-Mare Autostrada is just 15 kilometres away. It joins Florence with Prato and Lucca. The ancient landscape is beautiful and sloping with hills, wheat fields and cypress trees. There are four guest apartments in the farm complex. These are Stalla Verde, Stalla Rossa, Forno and Fienile. The apartments are attractively furnished and well kept. The friendly owner lives in a large house in the same grounds.
There is a beautiful swimming pool and a wood burning pizza-oven in the shared garden. The farm complex grows 120 hectares of wheat which is used to make organic pasta. The pasta can be bought at the farm and is delicious. The village of Castelnuovo Berardenga is only 2 km away. There are many interesting places to visit, such as Siena, Florence, Montalcino, Arezzo, Montepulcino, Cortona and Pienza. You can see the original architectural details in many buildings and houses. There is a great air of tranquillity in the village. The tower is very well placed and you enjoy a splendid view of the Tuscan landscape.
The holiday home of the owner is on the ground floor. There are 2 apartments, IT-57020-19 and IT-57020-20, on the first and second floor. Both apartments are spacious and have been furnished by the daughter of an antiques dealer. They have plenty of atmosphere. The holiday home on the 1st floor has a small balcony with garden furniture. The apartment on the 2nd floor has an extra seating area, surrounded by windows which offer spectacular views. The sea is 8 km away. Florence, Siena, Pisa and Lucca are highly recommended. A stay in the tower in Bibbona is a unique experience. You can enjoy a wonderful combination of culture, beaches and sheer tranquillity.

The apartments, (of which there are 3), have been renovated with great care and have been furnished in the traditional Tuscan fashion.
A stay in the apartments is made even more enjoyable by the spacious garden- a veritable sun-drenched balcony overlooking the valley below.
Poggio di Loro makes a delightful place to visit and to live in. It boasts characteristic narrow streets and workshops; while shops and traditional restaurants can be found in Loro Ciuffenna, just 3 km away. The short distance separating the village from Florence, Siena and Arezzo, allows guests to take day trips to these stupendous art cities in Tuscany, and the surrounding area, including Chianti.
