Spacious apartment in a “casala” (country house), situated in the hills of Valdarno Inferiore (close to Florence). Around the house is a big bush with a little lake and at the house a swimming pool. Not too far from the house, you will find Montecatini Terme (15 km), with its famous spa.
The house is ideal in the heart of northern Tuscany, very suitable to pay a visit to San Miniato (14 km), Lucca (27 km), Florence (45 km) and Pisa (49 km). The Tuscany coast lies within 53 km (Viareggio).

The owner lives on the ground floor. There are two other holiday homes on the same domaine.
The owner has two (quiet) dogs.

Peaceful position in a small town of medieval origins in the Florentine Mugello (600 m alt. a.s.l.). Beautiful views of the valley and the Apennine mountains. Nearby is Mount Falterona where the Arno River begins. The area, full of woods and rivers, offers a wide selection of walking itineraries. The property is characterized by a small, ancient, private chapel. Comfortable and tasteful furnishings with some period pieces. Central heating. For stays of one week or more the first evening dinner is offered by the owner in a typical restaurant in the area. Midweekly cleaning (bathrooms, floors) is included in the price for holidays of a week or more.

The section of the villa you are hiring is located centrally in the main building (on the 1st photo it is the right side without the towers, in the towers there are 3 apartments). This holiday home has its own entrance, a private terrace and has a private section of the garden. There is also a private pool with a panoramic view over the sloping Tuscan landscape. The pool is accessible via a staircase and a forest path. This unique holiday home is located on the ground and first floors and has a small tower where the sofa bed is located. This is very spacious, at least 400 m2! This is an ideal holiday home for families, groups of friends, etc. who want to spend their holidays in an antique but very comfortable and attractive villa. The furnishing reflects the Tuscan tradition with vaulted and wooden ceilings and spacious and elegant salons.
Located only a few kilometres from Empoli, and approx. 33km from Florence and this is an ideal departure point for discovery of sunny Tuscany with its culture and gastronomy. You can visit San Gimignano, with its famous towers, only 40 km away.

Nice loggia with antique bread oven, ideal for dining outside. Private garden with lawn, flowers, trees, swimming pool and a terrace that leads along two sides of the house. Simple but complete furnishings. Central heating. Access along 900m of unpaved road. Possibility to purchase farm products (wine and oil).

The building is not too far from Florence (approx. 30min. drive) close to the town Vicchio. Ideal for a peaceful holiday and to taste the authentic atmosphere of this house but also visit the Tuscany coastal treasures: the house is located in a strategic position to reach the entire Tuscany easily!

Due to the interior and neighborhood, the accomodation is not specially suitable for young children.
