In Roman times, this suggestive holiday home (a ground floor appartment, of 50 m2) in the town of Ripabianca di Deruta served as a watch tower. Over the centuries it has undergone many changes, becoming, in the Middle Ages, a small castle under the rule of Todi. It was destroyed and rebuilt over and over until, in our times, it was renovated by the Mancinelli family and used as a private residence. There is also a small annexed ceramics workshop, run by one of the familys sons.
A part of the castle has been put to use as an intimate bed and breakfast, with two homely apartments called Eufrasia and Pervinca respectively. These apartments are located on the side of the castle, after the small gate on the right which is visible on the photographs. The bedrooms are snug and warm, and furnished in good taste.
From the appartment you can effortlessly reach the distictive town of Ripabianca on foot. By car you can easily get to interesting locations such as: Deruta, Todi, Perugia, Assisi, Spello, Bevagna, Montefalco and Spoleto. In addition, you are in close proximity to the Parco del Sole an awe-inspiring natural park full of wildlife where you can enjoy a walk or go mountain biking.

Upon request (price to be agreed with the owner):

- Breakfast which may be served outside in the charming medieval courtyard, on the spacious terrace, or inside the apartments, all of which are equipped with functional rustic-style kitchens.

- Car-hire service (close to the residence complex, information can be obtained from the owner).

- Shuttle service to Saint Egidio airport in Perugia or to the train station. If a car is hired the service is free, otherwise it incurs a fee of 15 euros.

This delightful detached cottage (54 m2), close to lake Trasimeno is part of a farm-stead which also includes 3 apartments with a good-sized communal garden, 6 x 14 m swimming pool, (cleansed with UVA rays, rather than chlorine), and wonderful views over lakes Trasimeno and Chiusi. The property features its own private patio and is tastefully furnished, offering guests the maximum level of comfort.
This holiday home was a working farm up until the XVII century. It has now been lovingly restored using only the highest quality materials and furnishings and in full respect of the original style.
The cottage is in a prime location for exploring either Umbria or Tuscany. A two hour drive will allow you to take in around 20% of the worlds artistic heritage and pay a visit to Etruscan, Medieval and Renaissance towns such as Castiglion del Lago and lake Trasimeno only 10 km away, Chiusi 10 km away, Cortona 30 km away, Montepulciano 35 km away, Chianciano Terme (thermal baths) 30 km away, Perugia 45 km away, Assisi 55 km away, Arezzo 50 km away, Siena 90 km away, Volterra 130 km away, Urbino and Florence 130 km away and Rome 160 km away.

Poggio Paradiso is a farmhouse estate in the hills near the village of Scritto. It is described as 'a little paradise'. The apartments (IT-06020-01, IT-06020-02, IT06020-04, IT-06020-05) at this farmhouse complex are at the end of a sandy cul-de-sac. Each apartment has its own terrace and landscaped garden with a wide variety of flowers and plants. There is a splendid view of the sloping hills of Umbria. There is a swimming pool for guests in the grounds. The apartments are very attractive and well furnished.

This "podere" has been recently restored with utmost care to a very high standard using the best materials in keeping with the character of the house.
Cosy apartments, which forms part of an ex farm close to the Trasimeno Lake. The comfortable apartments are renovated in an antique style. The guests can enjoy a peaceful surrounding, situated in the green hills of Umbria, in a peaceful surrounding. Enjoy the splendid view over the Chiusi-and Trasimeno lakes! Guest can use the modern swimming pool (6x14m).
In the surrounding, you will find many art cities such as Perugia (30 minutes drive) and Assisi (45 min.). The Trasimeno Lake can be found within less than 10 km.

Some of this apartments? windows face on to the quiet B-road road that runs beneath the house.

The accommodation, situated panoramic over the hill, is located on an estate of 120 hectares, with olive and fruit trees (where olive oil is still produced). Production and sale of homemade olive oil. There is also the possibility of a guided tour to the wine cellars.
The owners have agreements with various restaurants in the nearby area regarding discounts for their guests.
The location makes it easy to visit the cities in the surrounding : Foligno within 16 km, Assisi within 27 km, Spoleto within 36 km, Perugia within 39 km, Rome within approx. 2,5 hours drive.
